Eytan and The Embassy

''Eytan and The Embassy'' is an indie-pop/soul band from Brooklyn, New York. Founded in late 2009 by Eytan Oren, the band has toured with OK Go, Company of Thieves, and Those Darlins, and opened for The Hold Steady and Old 97s. The group starred in three commercials for the 2010 MTV Movie Awards and played the Isle of Wight Festival in England in 2010. Their song "The Good Life" also features vocals from Kai Kennedy and Jesse Laz-Hirsch of the band Locksley.
==Personal life==
Eytan Oren was born in Charlotte, NC and moved frequently during his childhood to cities like Boston, Chicago, and Washington D.C. before settling with his family in the suburbs of New York City. His father is an American journalist and documentary filmmaker and his mother is an Israeli landscape architect. Eytan attended Columbia University where he majored in music. He has since written music for commercials, television and movies in addition to playing in “Eytan and The Embassy”. He worked briefly at Google and CBGB until he saved up enough money to record his first album, "The Perfect Break-up."
